Synergy Construction is proud to be a teaming up on another rewarding project with Compass Housing Alliance, a non-profit organization that serves homeless and low-income men and women. The new Regional Veterans Complex will provide safe housing for veterans who are making a commitment to transitioning from homelessness to independent living.

Synergy Construction played a key role during preconstruction and was able to value engineer 20 percent savings from the engineer's original estimate with no reduction of services or amenities. The project team includes Baylis Architects, Quantum Consulting Engineers (structural engineering), and CORE Design (civil engineering), and capital financing is provided by multiple sources of public funding.

The Regional Veterans Complex is a four-story, 65,000-square-foot mixed-use building in downtown Renton and includes 9,000 square feet of commercial space. The first-floor structural slab is supported on 158 augercast piles. The second floor is a 32,000-square-foot, post-tensioned, concrete deck with three levels of wood framing above. Luther's Table, a café and music venue that is an outreach ministry led by St. Matthew's Lutheran Church, will be one of the tenant spaces being built out. The balance of the building will be apartments for both veterans with families and those who are single. There will be secure outdoor areas for both adults and children, a computer lab, and common rooms for social activities, community meals, and therapeutic group activities.
